The Hour of Witchery will be closed on the eight Sabbats throughout the year. These are sacred days for me personally, and I will be using these dates to rest, recharge, celebrate the Sabbats, spend time in nature, do my own ritual work, and take space away from messages, emails, rush orders, and screens.
The Hour of Witchery will be closed on the following dates*:
Imbolc: February 1 - 2
Ostara: March 20 - 22
Beltane: April 30 - May 1
Litha: June 20 - 22
Lughnasadh: August 1 - 2
Mabon: September 20 - 22
Samhain: October 30 - November 1
Yule: December 21 - 26
Additional Closure Date:
April 7 - 10
On these dates, I will not be available to answer messages, emails, website inquiries, or order questions. Rush orders will also not be available on these dates.
Orders can still be placed through the website, and messages can still be sent, but I will not be reviewing or responding to anything until I return. Everything will resume once I am back. This also means that if a rush order is placed during one of these closure dates, it will not be completed as a rush order during that time. It will be reviewed once I return and made a priority. Please keep this in mind before placing anything time-sensitive around these dates.
I know this may seem like a small number of days, but these days are very important for me. I have been doing this work for many years, and before The Hour of Witchery, I also ran other businesses. Between all of that, I have not had a true holiday or vacation in about 12 years. I rarely take days off; I do not take weekends off, and even with my posted hours, there are many days where I begin working at 8 a.m. or earlier.
There is also a lot that happens behind the scenes that most people do not see.
When I am not actively doing rituals, writing ritual feedback, completing readings, answering messages, responding to emails, preparing orders, or working with customers, I am usually still working on something connected to my business. This can include writing books, creating ebooks and courses, researching new handmade products, testing products, developing new services, working on website updates, preparing educational material, creating content, or handling all of the other pieces that keep this business running.
I do all of this myself. I do not have employees and I do not outsource my services or tasks. No one else is answering messages for me, writing for me, preparing your work for me, creating my products for me, or handling the background pieces of the business for me. Everything you see through The Hour of Witchery is done by me directly, which also means I work every single day in one form or another.
Because of that, these Sabbat closure dates are not just days off. They are days I am intentionally setting aside to reconnect with my own practice, honour the Wheel of the Year, step away from the constant screen time, and give myself the space I need to continue doing this work in a grounded and sustainable way.
We live in very screen-filled lives, and my work involves a lot of emotional, spiritual, and written energy. I spend many hours each day talking with people from all over the world, answering personal questions, reading customer notes, writing ritual feedback, completing readings, preparing spiritual guidance, and working on my books and projects. That is meaningful work, and I am grateful for it, but it also requires quiet time, spiritual space, and real disconnection.
These Sabbat dates are for that.
You are still welcome to place orders during these dates, and you are still welcome to send messages. Just know that I will not be checking, reviewing, or responding to anything until I return. <3 Thank you for understanding and respecting these closure dates. Blessings, Avanjia
