Your Practitioner & Owner ofThe Hour of Witchery

​​​My name is Avanjia, and my journey with witchcraft began long before I had the language to name it. I was six years old, spending my days in the forest behind our home with our family dog, a sheltie named D.O.G. (yes, I know, but his real name was Red Wood Wise Way of Oxford. To this day, I have no idea why.) It didn't matter. He was my best friend, and to me, he wasn’t just a dog, he was my fox. We would explore the woods for hours. I would sing to the trees (Fun Fact: I ended up growing up with a very big singing background), create little rituals, and connect deeply with the earth. I didn’t know what a witch was at that age, but I was already living in rhythm with the natural world.​

By the time I was ten, I was already very much fascinated by the sky and everything mystical. I was never taught by another, and yet I knew how to connect within myself. I was extremely intuitive at a very young age, and sometimes looking back it kinda gives me a shiver thinking how in tune I really was...I guess, am. Growing up in the country, with only animals as companions, I naturally formed a strong spiritual bond with nature. I can’t pinpoint the moment I became a witch, because I feel it has always been within me. Now at 38, I say I’ve been practicing for over 25 years, though in truth, I feel it goes much deeper than that.​

Several years ago, I made the decision to begin sharing my practice online. It was a vulnerable step, but it grew into something much more than I ever expected. That’s how The Hour of Witchery was born. Over time, I’ve developed a wide offering of customized rituals for every area of life and spiritual growth. I also provide a variety of readings, beyond just traditional tarot, including ones that help explore energetic alignment, star influence, and soul path. I offer spiritual mentoring, handfasting packages, and detailed spiritual guidance for those navigating change, uncertainty, or healing.​

In 2025, I published my first book, with four more in the works and many others planned. I’ve created downloadable content, courses, and an educational academy filled with reading material for those looking to deepen their understanding of the craft. My mission has always been to create a space where people can reconnect with their spiritual path, grow into their practice, and never feel alone in doing so.

I know what it feels like to have to hide this part of yourself. For much of my life, I was scared to show this side because when I did show glimpses of it or displayed my "dark side", I was threatened that I could be disowned or "sent away". That kind of fear stays with you at a young age, and it’s why I’ve made it my goal to offer something different. I want to build a space where others feel safe being exactly who they are or who they want to be, where they can explore their path without shame or fear. I want to help others understand how to work with their craft safely and with confidence.​
